Bajetic, Macca, elliot, gakpo - would you buy them if we didn't already have them? Also, isak gets injured in the WC who gets the goals? But you made some good arguments in the article
Fair point, I lean towards no but there won’t be an unlimited budget. On top form, these players have proven what they’re capable of and delivered trophies for us. Our squad is seriously depleted at the end of the day mate, you just simply won’t build the ideal one this year
Great peace! Congrats 👏. Wilson on a free, however would feel nice indeed..! On that subject, what about Darwin? Rumours have him as free agent and willing to return.. Wouldn't his power, strength, velocity and explosiveness benefit our dull and slow frontline? He was was not a Slot-type player, but he seemed to be a Klopp-type. I mean, after a slow, mixed 1st season, his 2nd season (Klopp's last) i think was much better, with great synergy with Mo. Looks like Iraola likes this kind of players..
If he’s open to that squad role I think it would be a practical signing. Could do a lot worse. Suppose it depends on if he’d be willing to be 3rd choice when both Isak and Ekitike are available.
Even though , i suspect that for the next season at least, with Hugo's catastrophic injury ( various sources put his return on/after Feb.2027) which command an ultra-careful return schedule, and Isak's frailty and difficulty to perform at high level for long spells, he could find plenty of time. He could even be used as a left winger, as has been occasionally in the past, especially if Gapko keeps struggling for form, letting Rio take his time to grow up without risking injuries at this age.
I admit i was a huge fan of Darwin when we signed him, deeply impressed (as Klopp i suppose) from his performance in our games against Benfica and the way he bullied Konate..!!
Unfortunately, Slot-ball didn't suit him very well...
I recognize, he is kind of a hot-headed boy and needs some special treatment/patience from the coach ( I suspect Iraola would be that kind of coach, furthermore he speaks the same language), but without the big price-tag casting a heavy shadow on him (like in his previous spell ) he could be a valuable .
After all, at this brutally physical League, and with so many games added in the various domestic/international cups, speed, strength and extra bodies are needed. Arsenal have them, City (will) have them...We need them too.
What is your final team? Did I missed it
(Some don’t need be registered so it’s over 25 men: Alisson, Pecsi, Mama, Tsimikas, Kerkez, Chambers, Jacquet, Leoni, VVD, Mingueza, Frimpong, Bradley, Gomez, Palestra, Bajcetic, Wharton, Sangare, Macca, Szobo, Wirtz, Elliott, Nyoni, Rio, Danns, Gakpo, Ezzalzouli, Diomande, Ekitike, Isak.

Sounds great. That was a solid interview - when can you start?
Ready to replace Richard if Al Hilal take him
I'd never heard of that winger. He sounds great.
Would be a risk but anyone would be. Think if one winger is going to be Diomande the other has to be a bit more creative.
Yeah it feels like we need young versions of Diaz, effectively. High pressing, high energy, with an eye for an assist/goal.
This is really cool and super in depth!
I was hoping Everton would take a look at Bazoumana Touré lol 😉
He looks really exciting, not surprised he seems to have a lot of PL interest.
